As a result of the bombing, which occurred in the province of Farah in western Afghanistan, at least 21 people were killed from two families. According to the words of an official representative of the Afghan Ministry of Internal Affairs, the water flowed home to the victims.

He also added that the deceased included children and women. Security forces and local residents were engaged in operations to search for and rescue people, who were trapped in the aftermath of the natural disaster.

According to preliminary data, more than 370 houses were damaged in the aftermath of the bombing. Currently, efforts continue for localization and elimination of the consequences of the natural disaster.
